Girls’ Weekend

Cheryl and her friend took “Trekker” to Galena for camping and sightseeing.  Even though we had overcast skies in Galesburg, (after almost 14 inches of raing in 72 hours) it was sunny in Galena.  They had a lot of fun together.  And the motorhome came back in good condition .  I stayed in Galesburg, enjoying working around the house and getting a bike ride.

Yesterday was a bittersweet day.  We said farewell to some friends we have met at Raritan church. Several of us from the chruch went to Happy Joes in Burlington for the occasion.  We will miss their friendship and the their ministry in the life of the church.   He got a new job out of the area, so they will be leaving.  It has been neat to see how God has provided for them over these past weeks, in selling their house and finding a new one.   We pray God’s speed for them in their new adventure.

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Timberview Campground near Bushnell to keep getting used to our new class B motorhome.  We enjoyed a laid-back Saturday.  Then Sunday morning we packed up and were off to minister at Raritan Baptist Church.  We came home after that and spent Monday catching up on things around the house.
