As we begin June, we see more activities starting to become available. Raritan Baptist Church is planning on worshipping together maintaining social distancing and safe hygienic practices on June 7. The plan is to make the service available to watch on line or download for those who don’t feel comfortable meeting. So they will be available hopefully the same day of the worship service
Due to Covid-19 there are a number of different ways GHS is celebrating the 2020 graduates, of which my grandson is one. Here is a video of part of the parade.
Most, if not all, campgrounds around us are still closed. So we are still driveway camping. I’m sitting in the RV right now enjoying a cup of coffee.
We’re kind of chomping at the bit for campgrounds to open. We are looking forward to be able to use our RV beyond our driveway. I have to admit, we slept in it several time during the COVID-19 experience. Since we weren’t able to travel to California in April, we still wanted to stay in the RV.
I adapted this from a prayer I found online
Thank you for the gift of motherhood and the blessing it is to be called “Mom.” Today we pray for refreshing, for joy, for grace, for wisdom, for great peace…for all moms, for moms to be, and for women who nurture and lead.
Please comfort those who are grieving loss and heartache. Strengthen those who wait for children to come back home. Bring healing to those who have been hurt by relationships that were intended to be loving and nurturing. Build up the faith of those who will someday be Moms, who find themselves on a journey that seems so hard. We ask for encouragement and grace for those who have made a loving choice for adoption. May every single-parent mom, who works so hard on behalf of her children, know your provision and care. Remind those who do not have “physical” children that they are amazing hope-bringers to many spiritual children.
God, thank you, for loving us, and for being with us all in our unique journeys and pathways. May we know the contentment that comes from knowing that you are Sovereign and that you make our footsteps secure.
Through Jesus Christ, your Son, who reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God now and forever more. Amen.
I have uploaded the worship service for this Sunday. You can get to it by click “Sermons/Services” and the top of this page.
We continue to reflect on living the resurrection life. Next Sunday’s scripture is posted on the Sermons/Services page of this website. (The link is posted at the top of the page⇧)
It will also be Mother’s Day. You might think of ways that you may honor or remember your mother’s. One of the best ways you can honor your mothers who are living is to pray for them. And one of the best ways you can remember your mothers who have passes away, is to tell your children stories of your mother.
I finally got this Sunday Service uploaded and you can watch it by clicking on this link: https://dsiems.com/audio-of-sermons/
May the Lord bless you as you worship.
